Strategies for Writers Level G is a complete writing source that provides students with the tools for developing lifelong skills and success in all areas of writing.
Organized to give teachers maximum flexibility when teaching writing, each unit covers one mode of writing—narrative, descriptive, expository, or persuasive. By practicing three genres and test writing in each mode, students gain a more comprehensive understanding of how to prepare and execute effective writing.
Instruction and assessment integrate the six traits of effective writing. Writing Traits are explained throughout each unit and applied to each genre of writing.
Instruction is rubric-based. Rubrics are clearly organized, mode- and genre-specific guides that let students know exactly what is expected and help them evaluate their progress.
